Attendance & Makeup Lessons

All lessons are conducted in a private setting on a “one to one” basis. A parent or legal guardian may attend their child’s lesson at any time without prior notice.

It is the student’s responsibility to arrive on time and prepared for each lesson.

Payments

All lessons must be paid for in advance; no refunds will be issued due to student absence from lessons regardless of any prior notice. Registration forms will not be accepted unless all information and signatures are completed and a form of payment received.

We work on a prorated system to determine your monthly payment. Ex., we count the number of Mondays from September to June and subtract the holidays and dates we will be closed. There are 34 Mondays x $36.00 lesson rate = $1224.00 ÷ 10 months of teaching = $122.40 per month. This is how your monthly payments are able to remain the same regardless of the number of days in any given the month.

Regular recurring payments are scheduled for the 1^st of each month. Payment must be provided via credit card or post-dated cheques. All cheques are payable to Time Music Studios; please confirm your monthly payment amount prior to submitting your cheques. There will be an amount of $25.00 billed for each NSF cheque.

Time Music Studios does not keep your credit card information on file. We shred all written information after processing your card through our secure online payment system. Your card cannot be used for anything other than pre-set recurring lesson payments. Your information is kept confidential and private from any third party.

Teacher Absence

In the event of a teacher absence, Time Music Studios reserves the right to hire a substitute without prior notice. If a make-up lesson is required, Time Music Studios will arrange an accommodating time for both parties to complete any outstanding make-up lessons.

Student Absence

Time Music Studios must be made aware of any student absences or changes to regularly scheduled lessons in advance. In the event of a student absence, a teacher may be able to provide a Courtesy Make-Up lesson. These lessons are not guaranteed, owed, or accrued. It is the teacher’s discretion as to whether they are able to provide a courtesy lesson for a particular student, as this is dependent on their availability.

If a student requests to "pause/hold" lessons for an extended period of time, it is at the discretion of the teacher and studio to whether it will be granted. If the student decides not to return to lessons after the agreed upon return date, then the student will be billed in full for the weeks/months they were away.

If a student wishes to terminate lessons on a permanent basis, we require written notice from the student or parent / legal guardian four weeks prior to the last attending lesson.

No refunds or make-up lessons will be granted for any lessons not attended by the student prior to the last lesson stated on the written notice. Any post-dated cheques on file will be shredded.

Trial Period Termination/Continuation

If a student does not wish to continue into regular lessons after the completion of the agreed upon trial, an email terminating regular registration must be sent to your respective studio.

If an email cancelling further lessons is not received and confirmed by a week from your last trial lesson, your card will automatically be charged as a continuing student.

There are no penalties if a student emails confirmation of discontinuation after the completion of the agreed upon trial.

Once verbal or written continuation confirmation has been received, the student will be registering for weekly lessons until June 2024. If the student wishes to cancel before June 2024, we require a four week cancellation notice to end lessons.

Payment Policy

Your One Month Trial payment is required upon registration. A credit card is also required at the point of registration regardless of any alternate preferred trial period payment method. This card will be charged one week following the last day of the trial period if a termination email is not received. You may change this method of payment to monthly post-dated cheques at any time after the paid trial period.

To cancel your One Month Trial Period, email notice is required 48-hours prior to your first scheduled lesson; after which, the charge is non-refundable.

Regular lessons will begin in the week following your Trial Period if a cancellation email is not received. Recurring payments will then be scheduled for the 01^st of each month. Payment must be provided in the form of Post Dated Cheques dated for the 01st of each month for the year, Visa, or MasterCard. All Cheques are payable to Time Music Studios. There will be an amount of $25.00 billed for each NSF Cheque.
