Biography

Ryan McEathron is a professional musician and educator hailing from Calgary, AB. Ryan holds a bachelor’s degree in Jazz and Contemporary Pop Music with a specialization in drumset performance. Additionally, he actively shares his knowledge and expertise by conducting music clinics and teaching at band camps throughout Alberta. Ryan honed his skills on the drums through studies at MacEwan University in Edmonton, AB, and Metropolia University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki, Finland. His diverse repertoire encompasses an array of genres including jazz, pop, rock, country, punk, metal, reggae, flamenco, hip-hop, and orchestral music. Ryan is a versatile drummer, percussionist, and educator. While his primary focus is drumset, he has gained valuable experience playing concert music with ensembles such as the Calgary Youth Orchestra, West Winds Red and Purple Bands, University of Calgary Symphonic Band and Percussion Ensemble, and the MacEwan University Percussion Ensemble.
