Biography

Aaron is a seasoned guitarist and educator with nearly three decades of experience on the instrument. He began taking lessons as a child and deepened his study with formal classical training in high school. By his teens, he was already teaching and performing with local bands. His career has included a wide range of session work—from contributing to a NASCAR-themed project featured at a Las Vegas trade expo to recording a full-length album and supporting it with a small tour. One of his most memorable live performances was at the Molson Amphitheatre at the Hard Rock Café in Vancouver.

Aaron has spent over 20 years sharing his knowledge through teaching, including four years at a respected music school in Ottawa and running his own private online studio. He returned to university later in life to complete a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Music Performance, graduating with first-class honours. Specializing in technical playing and improvisation, Aaron draws on a broad stylistic range—from Bach to Petrucci, as well as deep inspiration from players like Jimi Hendrix and John Scofield—anchored in metal, rock, blues, and fusion. Known for his relaxed presence and ability to connect with students of all levels, he combines deep theoretical knowledge with a luthier’s attention to detail—he is currently training in guitar building and repair. Whether performing, teaching, or working at the bench, Aaron brings passion, professionalism, and a genuine love for the guitar to everything he does.
